What you can do to help

Give clear instructions – Give new drivers simple, clear instructions not to use their wireless devices as they drive. Before new drivers get their licenses, discuss the facts. Even taking your eyes off the road for a moment could cost someone injury or even death.

Lead by example –Don’t text and drive. Be an example for others. Pull over if you need to text or talk on the phone.  Set rules for yourself regarding distracted driving.

Become informed and be active –Tell your family, friends and organizations about the importance of driving free of distractions. Take information to your kids’ schools. Ask that it be shared with students and parents.
