Governor Ron DeSantis issued A “STAY AT HOME” order for the entire state of Florida. This order is effective as of today through April 30th.
What does this mean? What is a a “STAY AT HOME” order? Per Wikipedia: “A stay-at-home order is an order from an authority to restrict movements of population. It is a mass quarantine strategy for suppressing an epidemic or pandemic. It orders residents to stay home except for essential tasks or going to work in essential businesses. You may participate in some outdoor activities. Nonessential businesses are either closed or changed to be working from home. In some regions, it has been implemented as a round-the-clock curfew or called a shelter-in-place order.”
Moreover, this order is enforceable by 60 days in the county jail. Violating this is a second degree misdemeanor. Read more here.
